Our Brampton location is presently looking for National Sales Manager, Speciality Business

Job purpose

As a valuable member of the Canadian Commercial Team, the National Sales Manager (NSM) will be responsible for driving sales results through the leadership, coaching and development of a team of Key Account Managers (KAM).  You and your team will be responsible for developing long term relationships with assigned accounts and health care professionals. The NSM is accountable for managing sales performance, business analysis and budgets.  The NSM will effectively and efficiently plan and complete all business activities via aligned objectives and analytics and will maximize available resources. The NSM will build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial networks/relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.  The NSM is expected to both model and hold their team accountable to consistent teamwork and collaboration with other members of the sales force, as well as members of market access, marketing and corporate functions.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed all sales and performance objectives
  • Provide formal and informal field coaching feedback to employees through consistent, well documented activity with a minimum of 90 days in the field
  • Demonstrate a collaborative sales approach and coordinate efforts between sales leadership, other Taro sales teams, market access, sales operations, and training
  • Adhere to all compliance guidelines, operate with integrity, and ensure the sales team adheres to these policies
  • Review monthly data reports to identify trends and make plans to address opportunities and concerns
  • Coach teams towards success from hire date onward, providing appropriate counseling, encouragement, and oversight to ensure effective execution of the specialty strategy
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Canada for field coaching, customer meetings and industry events
  • Conduct mid-year and annual performance reviews
  • Personally, manage assigned accounts and HCP within a defined territory

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a specialty sales management role
  • Pharmaceutical marketing and sales experience in oncology an asset
  • Outstanding customer relationship, interpersonal, and communication skills with the established ability to effectively work with diverse audiences and influence cross functionally
  • Strong analytical skills with the proven ability to effectively analyze data to determine trends and inform strategy
  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Working conditions

  • Extensive travel including weekends and extended travel when required
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • 90-day minimum field day activity
