The Copywriter will support email, web, broadcast, social, retail, SEO and other marketing initiatives for Alchemee brands (including Proactiv), including: Acquisition, Retention, current member, Cross-Brand/Winback/Alt Media division, covering a wide array of renowned brands. Key responsibilities will include copywriting for marketing campaigns, emails and site content.

Area of Responsibility:

  • Write and edit accurate, concise, and highly compelling copy for an online environment, including marketing campaigns, emails, social, print and site content. Contribute to the production and editing of copy from cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Write copy that will drive response, enhance the client's/customer’s/user’s online experience, promote key offerings and support brand positioning.
  • Collaborate with creative colleagues to develop copy that will drive traffic to and improve conversion of email campaigns, micro sites, landing pages, etc.
  • Develop and produce content that reflects online usability best practices and help oversee/edit SEO content creation.
  • Ensure that web content meets established editorial, quality and industry standards for web usability and accessibility.
  • Understand performance of creative elements in order to make improvements to help increase KPIs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure not only a cohesive visual storytelling but also falls within regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Proactively review written content and recommend usability improvements (content clarity, brevity, calls to action and streamlined online navigation).
  • Strategize and propose development and integration of new copy to increase performance and optimize existing content.
  • Collaborate with designers to conceptualize from iteration to final delivery of creative assets.
  • Capable of writing clear, impactful copy in the brand voice that connects and resonates with our diverse and inclusive community.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in writing a variety of content and following brand guidelines based on customer segmentation, as well as writing promotional copy for merchandising campaigns.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years’ experience as a Copywriter in comparable or like industry, with experience in writing a variety of content and following brand guidelines based on customer segmentation, as well as writing promotional copy for merchandising campaigns.
  • Understanding of interactive writing, effective communication for the web, and how copy relates to design.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt while thinking strategically and creatively under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of simple HTML markup elements (bold, headlines, lists and anchors) a big plus.
  • Ability to write web merchandising content that drives conversion.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities and effectively developing timelines.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve unexpected issues.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently as a team.

The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $88,000 to $107,500. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) savings plan; flexible spending accounts; and the employee assistance program. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.

The compensation and benefits described above are subject to the terms and conditions of any governing plans, policies, practices, agreements, or other materials or documents as in effect from time to time, including but not limited to terms and conditions regarding eligibility. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company, or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
